Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

Who is it for?

This course is designed for those who have been appointed to act as a first aider, or for those who provide first aid in voluntary or community organisations. It is a regulated and nationally recognised course.

How long does it take?

This is a three day course

How will I be assessed?

You will have seven practical assessments and two multiple choice paper

What will I be taught?

In this course you will learn
⁃ Roles and responsibility’s of a first aider
⁃ Scene survey, primary survey and secondary survey
⁃ How to collect a patient history
⁃ How to preform CPR
⁃ Safe use of an AED
⁃ How to manage a casualty who is choking
⁃ How to manage a casualty who is unconscious
⁃ How to manage wounds, bleeding and a casualty who is in shock
⁃ How to manage catastrophic haemorrhage
⁃ Recognise and manage potential sprains, strains, fractures and dislocations
⁃ Recognise and manage head injuries
⁃ Recognise and manage spinal injuries
⁃ Recognise and manage chest injuries
⁃ Recognise and manage eye injuries
⁃ Recognise and manage poisoning
⁃ Recognise and manage anaphylaxis
⁃ Recognise and manage major illnesses including heart attack, stroke, epileptic seizure, asthma attack, diabetic hypoglycaemic emergency

What qualification will I receive?

Successful learners will receive a personalised Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) e-Certificate
